Review SpectroNet Collaboration Conference in Zoetermeer/Netherlands, 2025

Updated: Sep 29

One of our annual highlights and services offered to our SpectroNet members are the SpectroNet Collaboration Conferences. On September 17–18, 2025, we met in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands, for two exciting days dedicated to Photonics & Machine Vision for Industrial and Biomedical Applications. Together with our collaboration partner TKH VISION Group, we welcomed researchers, developers, and business leaders from around the world to exchange knowledge, share the latest research results, and present new product innovations.

In addition to well-established network partners, we were delighted to welcome new companies, start-ups, and research institutions, who enriched the event with their expertise and fresh perspectives.

Sponsors & Supporters

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our sponsors and supporters, including TKH Security, Opto, and NKT Photonics, whose contributions made this year’s conference a great success.

Highlights of Day 1

Session 1 began with a strong focus on illumination, filters, and optics, covering innovations such as PARMS optical filters, focus tunable lenses, and SWIR LED solutions.

Session 2 followed with cutting-edge talks on spectral and multimodal sensor systems, featuring developments in monolithic spectroscopy, multispectral imaging, and high-performance mini spectral imagers.

Our first keynote, delivered by Jonathan Berte (Robovision BV), challenged participants to rethink vision through AI in his inspiring talk: “When Machines See Differently.”

Session 3 shifted the spotlight to embedded and smart systems, where experts presented agile solutions for drones, smart cameras, and industrial AI-driven imaging.

We closed the first day with Session 4 on AI & Smart Software, highlighting plug-and-play AI anomaly detection, deep 3D matching, and AI-driven hyperspectral analysis.

The day concluded in true Dutch style: an unforgettable evening event in Delft with a guided canal cruise through the historic old town, followed by a three-course conference dinner at Restaurant De Waag. The mix of culture, history, and networking created lasting memories.

Highlights of Day 2

Day two opened with welcome notes from Christian Benderoth (LMI Technologies GmbH) and Dr. Paul-Gerald Dittrich (SpectroNet), followed by our second keynote: “From Vidicon to NLOS Imaging” by Dr. Marco Diani (iMAGE S S.p.A.).

Session 5 explored innovative applications of imaging and sensing, from bioanalytical detectors and aerospace navigation to semiconductor inspection and food quality assessment.

Session 6 turned to sensor and camera systems for characterization, with highlights including supercontinuum white light lasers, spectral imaging on mobile platforms, and vision inspection in pharma.

Finally, Session 7 presented new developments in imaging and sensing, including self-cleaning cameras, SWIR 3D sensors, and biomedical embedded vision.

The conference wrapped up with closing remarks by Dr. Paul-Gerald Dittrich, who gave a thoughtful outlook on future collaborations and projects.

TKH Experience Center Tour

A true highlight for many attendees was the exclusive guided visit to the TKH Experience Center. In 12 interactive worlds with more than 60 immersive scenarios, participants discovered how TKH applies innovative, customer-oriented technologies in fast-growing markets where automation, digitization, and electrification are driving forces.

Supporting & Enhancing Collaboration

Since 2008, SpectroNet has been dedicated to fostering collaboration in photonics and machine vision. With more than 45 successful conferences across Europe, we are proud to continue building a strong platform where managers, scientists, and developers exchange ideas, form partnerships, and shape the future of our industry.

The feedback from Zoetermeer was overwhelmingly positive — not just because of the fascinating presentations and exciting innovations, but also thanks to the personal conversations, networking opportunities, and shared cultural experiences.

Looking Ahead

We sincerely thank all participants, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, and partners for making SCC 2025 a memorable and successful event. The spirit of collaboration and innovation was felt in every session, every exhibition stand, and every evening conversation.
