trinamiX unveiled groundbreaking concept car with integrated Face Authentication in the B-pillar at IAA Mobility 2025

As part of its ambition to shape the future of mobility with innovative locking and operating systems, WITTE Automotive, a leading automotive supplier for innovative system solutions, enhances its product portfolio with advanced vehicle access features. To achieve this, the company collaborated with our Clusterpartner trinamiX to develop a keyless B-pillar solution with integrated Face Authentication that combines convenience and increased security. With trinamiX, WITTE Automotive has found the ideal technology partner to bring this vision to life – first showcased in a concept car at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, Germany.

Built trinamiX Face Authentication solution uses its patented biometric imaging technology known as Beam Profile Analysis, which was integrated into the B-pillar of a concept car developed in collaboration with WITTE Automotive. The solution combines 2D facial recognition with trinamiX’s patented liveness check, to enhance security. It does not only verify the visual match with a recognized user but also differentiates between real humans and ultra-realistic masks or deepfakes.

The WITTE system utilizes a combination of different new technologies and sensors and in this case a camera which is embedded in the B-pillar of the concept car. WITTE Automotive designed precisely a complete system of a new experience of comfort and safe door opening. The solution implemented in the concept car eliminates the need for a handle, allowing the door to open automatically as soon as a registered person approaches the vehicle. This creates entirely new design possibilities of future vehicles.
